Amazing new review on Amazon

As a result of last weeks Auburn Reporter story, a Seattle publisher, Robert Blevins, Managing Editor, picked up a copy of The Card and posted a new review on Amazon. I was blown away by his response, here's a portion of what he had to say...

"... We did not publish it, but if it had crossed my desk, I would have done so. Crisp story, good prose, highly entertaining...and highly recommended."

If you are into an action/adventure/mystery, please visit his site at Adventure books of Seattle where you can find more of the same.

The Card and Jim Devitt in Auburn Reporter newspaper article

I was lucky enough to be featured in the Friday edition of the Auburn Reporter, a story by reporter and editor Mark Klaas.

Klaas featured the story in the community section of the local paper and
said, "... The Auburn man is no accidental novelist, but someone who is exploring the possibilities to create and shape engaging stories for readers of all ages."

Check out the indepth article by clicking here.

Still on our trip across country, I'll be able to get back to regular posts soon.

Enjoy the article!

New Review and Guest Blog

We are in the middle of a move across the country, so I haven't been able to update the blog lately. However, today I was the guest blogger on a site the just reviewed The Card. Please take a moment to visit her blog and check out the review at

More good vibes for Van Stone...

"...The Card is a great young adult novel, yet readers of all ages will enjoy it. The writing was very good and it gave definitive details to describe the characters and the setting to where you felt you were in the story. The author was great at catching your attention from the beginning and then kept it fast-paced to coincide with the action/adventure that was taking place..." Laura of The Book Tree

More exciting news coming tomorrow!
