This great program continues. I was recently contacted by several of our men and women deployed overseas for a copy of The Card.
Operation eBook Drop is a service for our troops serving overseas. Founder Ed Patterson wrote, "If you're overseas and away from your home and loved ones, your dependence on reading might increase - and so we developed a program for gifting you ebooks for Kindle, Sony, iPhone, Blackberry etc."
Independent authors from around the country have come together to provide over 4,000 titles to choose from. In conjunction with Smashwords, men and women overseas can download their free eBook with the codes provided through this free service, directly from the Smashwords site.
Thank you to those who serve. I am privileged to offer my novel for your entertainment. If you know of anyone serving our country who would be interested in this program, please contact me and I will forward their information to Operation eBook Drop.

The Indie Spotlight
This past weekend, The Indie Spotlight, a blog that features author interviews and exerts from independent authors posted an interview with me and an exert from The Card. A big thanks to The Indie Spotlight, for helping Indie authors showcase their work.
If you haven't checked it out yet, you can read a portion from my Teen/YA novel on their site, along with a little Q&A.

New Independent Author and Independent Reader Site!
Please check out fellow Indie Author Stephen Hise' new site, Indies Unlimited.
In his blog, Stephen says, "A major challenge for any indie author is the lack of established infrastructure in place to market indie books. It can be challenging and time-consuming to get the word out about your book, to find reviewers, and to drive traffic to your website or Facebook page. As a new author, I was delighted to discover a very high level of mutual support and camaraderie in the indie author community."
His new blog is a treasure trove for independent authors and independent readers. Content includes interviews, articles, links, excerpts, quips, quotes, caption contests, reviews, recommendations and more.
I'm sure you will find this site both entertaining and informative and you will make a visit to Indies Unlimited part of your daily routine, just like I have.
